Because the PostSkirts are two piece and snap fit tightly together with no fasteners you can install or remove them at any time.
Many proprietary skirts are one piece and only fit composite posts you must buy from the same manufacturer.
The openings on the PostSkirts are 3-5/8" and 5-5/8" so you can use them on pretty much any regular dimensional lumber available.

Installation Is a SNAP!
The proper way to install the PostSkirt is to first take the two foam pads and peel and stick them against the inside faces of the skirt.
This foam acts as a cushion against the anchor base and makes for a secure fit even if the post has shrunk a little bit in size.
Align the male and female tabs and slowly push them into each other.
Once they are aligned, just apply enough pressure until you hear and feel a little SNAP!
You're done.
It looks best if you make sure the joint is aligned underneath the bottom rail where it is less visible.
But you will find the fit is so precise that it's hardly noticeable anyway.
